Sound healing works by pouring specific sound vibrations through our body and the space around us. As this happens we begin to release energy that is not ours (thoughts, emotions, tension, etc.) and come back into alignment. As we relax in our body and our mind, our nervous system calms down. This is where the magic happens! Scientifically speaking we reach higher states of consciousness by entering into different brainwave states such as alpha or theta. Here we gain greater insight into our life, access deep relaxation and healing, and can even retrain the neuroplasticity in our brain. What does this mean? By taking the time to slow down, relax, and release, we can literally change the direction of our life.
Many report a greater sense of self-awareness- a sense of expansion and release. Some report deep insight into their life's challenges becoming aware of limiting beliefs and unconscious patterns that create painful situations. This gives them the ability to change them. Spontaneous healing can occur and even past-life regression. All this to say that deep relaxation and stress relief is inevitable with perhaps greater insight and healing.
